Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an essential tool in the accurate and timely diagnosis of many medical conditions. Our onsite MRI makes it convenient for you and your doctor to plan an effective strategy for your care.

Our GE Signa HDe 1.5T MRI unit provides world-class image quality. Physicians and patients can rely on state of the art imaging services and trusted interpretations in a timely manner.
Our imaging center offers flexible and convenient appointment times Monday – Friday. A typical MRI exam lasts approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Our technical staff will take great care to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
About Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI is an essential advanced diagnostic imaging technique that provides high definition images of most every part of the body. It is particularly useful in the study of tissues, such as the heart, brain, spine, abdomen, muscle, joints and most tumors.
During an MRI procedure, a powerful electromagnetic field and a radio frequency transmitter work together to produce high resolution images. Because an MRI provides superior high definition image quality, it can show the location and size of any abnormality within the body.
One of the many advantages to an MRI is that it does not produce potentially harmful radiation as with an X-ray or CT scan. Another advantage to an MRI is that it can provide early detection of many medical conditions; early detection means early intervention and more effective treatment. An MRI is a simple, safe, and comfortable exam.
Special Considerations
Since the MRI uses a strong magnetic field, it can move objects made with iron or steel. It is extremely important to inform the imaging staff if you have any of the following devices or conditions:
– Pacemaker
– Aneurysm clips
– Cochlear implants
– Neuro-stimulator (Tens-Unit)
– Metal implants
– Steel surgical staples or clips
– Implanted drug infusion device
– Implants made partially or wholly of iron or steel
– Pregnant or breast feeding
Other metal objects not made of iron or steel can interfere with the exam so please be prepared to leave the following items at home or in the dressing room:
– Coins
– Jewelry
– Watches
– Keys
– Dentures or partial plates
– Hearing aids
– Bank cards
